The experience is an indoor experience so the weather does not affect our event. You will only be in the outdoors in the carpark and for the walk to the covered waiting area. Finally when you are finished you will be walking to your car so bring suitable clothing for the weather.
We can change the date and time of your tickets but we need a minimum of 24 hours notice. A 5 Euro change of booking fee applies. Tickets can not be changed later than 24 hours in advance of the day of your booking.
The experience is mainly indoors – but hey it’s December – dress warm! A comfortable pair of shoes is essential and a warm coat for the waiting area.
All available dates and time slots are on our website www.northpolecork.com. However we have noticed that people using old versions of the browser Internet Explorer are having difficulty booking. If you are unable to see our booking dates or unable to book try changing your browser to Google Chrome or Safari.
Please note that as time slots fill up there may only be 1 or 2 spaces available in a time slot – as a result you may be unable to book in your family. We would recommend trying another date and time if you experience this issue. If you select any ticket type you will be able to see how many spaces are left in any particular time slot,
We limit each time slot to 24 people approx. so you might be selecting a time that is nearly full. Try another time or date or call our booking line at 021 2428868 and we will select a time that is available for you.
We wish to let you know that we are an Elf Experience rather than a grotto event. The focus of the Outpost is the interaction with our Cork Elves in a series of “panto” style rooms. For 2019 the rooms include; The North Pole Post Office, Toy Building School, The Pine Elves Christmas Tree Elforation Room, Mrs Claus’ Cookie Kitchen, The Head Elf office, followed by a short visit to Santa. Santa will will then invite each family to visit his Elf in the Toy Shop where you are invited to select your own gift (unwrapped). Each gift is suitable for a wide range of ages and personalities! Santa prefers not to take any personal information about you and your family.
If you have an important personal message for Santa we ask you to mention this to one of our elves in Santa’s room. We can not always guarantee that the message will be passed on by our elves but we will certainly do our very best to help! Unfortunately we can not communicate messages left by email or otherwise.
Our experience offers an ASD friendly times on the 11th & 12th of December 2019. These bookings can only be booked over the phone 021 242 8868, pre-booking is essential. For our ASD friendly time, we have a booklet outlining our experience so you can prepare for your visit. Please find it on our ASD Friendly page, ready to download. We also make a number of adjustments to the experience to make the Outpost more suitable to your family’s needs. This is detailed in our booklet. We welcome all guide and assistance dogs. The Outpost is a 75 -90 min theatrical production and therefore has limited capacity. For each booking time only a few families can enter our magical Elf world. The Elves make sure we do it this way so you can have time with the Elves at the Outpost (when they are not busy making toys…!). Each tour runs every 15 minutes and can only be booked in advance online or on the Elf telephone.
The Cork North Pole Outpost Experience is an immersive theatrical experience for the whole family to enjoy together. Much like going to see a performance in the theatre there is a charge for adults. As well as the theatrical experience adults will also receive a yummy hot drink and a tasty treat from Mrs Claus’ kitchen! We very much encourage adults to get involved and become part of an experience that will celebrate the magic of a child’s belief in Father Christmas and create memories for all the family.
Of course! Babies are classified as a child under the age of 12 months. Please note that a baby ticket does not include participation in any of the activities or qualify for a gift. If you wish for your baby to receive a gift from Santa please select the Baby with Present ticket option.
We are happy to discuss group bookings with you. Please email HeadElf@NorthpoleCork.com
